Whether or not Christians should celebrate Halloween is a yearly debate throughout the church world.
Most people realize Halloween is a dark, pagan holiday at it’s roots. The Bible clearly speaks against seeking out witchcraft and other demonic spirits.
But what’s wrong with dressing up as fun cartoon characters to walk around the neighborhood collecting candy? As long as that’s the plan, probably nothing at all.
Personally, I grew up in a Christian household and we enjoyed the ‘fun’ parts of Halloween. We’d wear masks, collect and give out candy, go to church for festivals – even at our home church.
While I’m sure my parents approached that with some caution, I never felt we were choosing evil over good or Satan over Jesus.
Ultimately, this is a decision every Christian parent needs to make for themselves and their children.
Today, I’d simply like to provide for you a resource chalked full of scripture to help you discern Halloween.
The good folks at GotQuestions.org will help you reach your own Biblical conclusion.
