Jesus reminds the church in Smyrna that even though they are facing great trouble and are physically poor, in their enduring faithfulness they are the rich.  Even though the devil and his demons and our world may tell us we are nothing and our faith is won’t hold us, Jesus wants us to know our faith will hold us all the way until death.
