The church in Ephesus was a faithful body of believers who did the works of God and endured hardships.  Their leaders were quick to recognize and hate false teachings.  They were REALLY good at ‘doing’ church, but they had forgotten their first love!  They had forgotten Jesus was the purpose behind all of it.  Pray that as we learn to do church well we never forget the why!
